PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device for appropriately improving affinity with the Internet, a document retrieval method, a document retrieval program and a recording medium. SOLUTION: The document management device for managing the set of document information comprises: a first retrieval means for retrieving the document information satisfying a retrieval condition from the set of the document information on the basis of the retrieval condition transmitted from a client device connected through a network; and a second retrieval means for making a retrieval site on the Internet execute retrieval on the basis of the retrieval condition, and outputs retrieved results acquired by the first retrieval means and the second retrieval means.
