PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a crystalline zinc complex of L-carnosin containing less impurity. SOLUTION: This method for producing the crystalline zinc complex of L-carnosin is provided by adding or dripping L-carnosin solution obtained by dissolving the L-carnosin and an alkali metal compound in anhydrous or aqueous alcohol solution into a zinc salt solution obtained by dissolving a zinc salt in anhydrous or aqueous alcohol solution regulated at 40-80°C temperature.
