PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage container which retains the freshness of contents and prevents rot of them. SOLUTION: The storage container 1 comprises a double-structure box body 2 including: an outer box 21 having an opening at the top and an inner box 22 surrounded by the outer box 21 and having an opening at the top; and the peripheries where the openings in the tops of the outer and inner boxes 21 and 22 are joined. The storage container 1 also comprises: a lid 3 to close an opening in the top of the box body; and heat insulating layers 4 inserted in an empty space defined between the outer and inner boxes 21 and 22. The heat insulation layers 4 include a heat insulation container 5 having a three-layer structure formed of, in order from the inner box 21 side, a honeycomb-like plate member 41, a vacuum heat insulation panel 42, and a foamed resin 43, which are bonded together, and also include an ozone generating device 7 stored in the heat insulation container 5 or an ozone ice package 9 containing an ozone ice 91 obtained by confining ozone in an ice, and a refrigerating material 8.
