METHOD FOR SELECTING A REVERSE POWER CONTROL PARAMETER VALUE IN CDMA MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A method for selecting a reverse power control parameter value in a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication network is provided to transmit a variable value according to a changed rate of the number of calls connected to a base station for a reverse initial power control parameter value to terminals, thereby improving a communication rate within the base station and maintaining the optimal speech quality for the connected calls. A method for selecting a reverse power control parameter value in a base station comprises the following steps of: detecting the number of calls connected to the base station(S201); producing a changed rate of the number of the connected calls for the reference number of calls of the base station; transmitting a reference power control parameter value to terminals under the control of the base station after producing a variable power control parameter value when an absolute value of the changed rate is less than a predetermined value(S202,S203); and transmitting the variable power control parameter value to the terminals under the control of the base station when the absolute value of the changed rate is more than a predetermined value(S202,S204,S205).
