A selected mapping method for improving the PAPR performance of OFDM signals in an DFDM mobile communication system includes: series to parallel converting input signal sequences by the transmitting terminal, and performing the following processes on each of the converted parallel signals: multiplying the parallel signal by a corresponding sequence element of a set of fixed sequences; combining the multiplied result with the associated information of the corresponding sequence element; performing Inverse Fast FourierTransformation on the combined signal sequence; calculating the Peak- to- Average Power Ratios of the transformed results of the previous processes on each of the parallel signals by the transmitting terminal separately; and selecting and transmitting one parallel signal transformed result with a smallest Peak- to- Average Power Ratio according to the calculated results.
