<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antiglare mirror having a high dimming function. <P>SOLUTION: The antiglare mirror contains at least one kind of dichroic coloring matter having a substituent represented by general formula (1) of -(Het)<SB>j</SB>-ä(B<SP>1</SP>)<SB>p</SB>-(Q<SP>1</SP>)<SB>q</SB>-(B<SP>2</SP>)<SB>r</SB>}<SB>n</SB>-C<SP>1</SP>and at least one kind of host liquid crystal between a pair of electrodes at least one of which is a transparent electrode. In general formula (1), Het represents an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom; B<SP>1</SP>and B<SP>2</SP>independently represents an arylene group, heteroarylene group, or bivalent cyclic aliphatic hydrocarbon group; Q<SP>1</SP>a represents bivalent linking group; C<SP>1</SP>represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an alkoxy group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an acyl group, or an acyloxy group; (j) 0 is or 1; (p), (q), or (r) independently represents integers of 0 to 5; and (n) is an integer of 1 to 3.
