<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical switching device in which deterioration and degradation of reliability due to heat generation are reduced by efficiently diffusing, attenuating and absorbing the optical signal output from the unselected side of two paths of light signal output when either of the two paths is selected and used. <P>SOLUTION: The optical switching device inputs the optical signals from a first optical path 11b and a second optical path 12b and outputs it to a third optical path 13a in a switchable manner and has a fourth optical path 14a which outputs an optical signal from the optical path not connected to the optical path 13a, among the first optical path 11b or the second optical path 12b, and an optical terminal part 14 which reduces optical energy at one end of the fourth optical path 14a. The optical terminal part 14 is formed of a light diffusion member, an optical fiber having an optical attenuation increased by a plurality of bent parts, and an optical attenuation optical fiber including a dopant which attenuates optical signal in the core part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
