<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display control unit and a display control method capable of giving flexibility to display control performed based on packet data, and to provide an information reproducing unit and electronic equipment. <P>SOLUTION: The display control unit 10 for controlling display based on stream data, where packet data continue, includes: a header analyzer 12 for detecting display time information contained in the header information of the packet data; an image data transfer instructor 14 for referring a display time table, where display time data are tabulated, to instruct the transfer of image data generated in frame units based on the packet data; and an image data transfer control unit 16 for controlling the transfer of the image data based on the transfer instruction of the image data transfer instructor 14.
