PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an IC socket which maintains a superior contact state of a contact fixture and a semiconductor device over a long period, and also maintains an appropriate contact pressure even to a contact pin of different thickness in the IC socket provided with a contact terminal in which the contact pressure is obtained by a leaf spring. SOLUTION: The IC socket has a pin insertion hole 32 in which the contact pin 21 of the semiconductor device is inserted when the semiconductor device is attached. Inside the respective pin insertion holes 32, the socket is provided with: the contact fixture 33 so as to obtain electrical connection to the contact pin 21 when the semiconductor device 20 is attached; and an auxiliary pin 34 to assist contact of the contact pin 21 and the contact fixture 33.
