PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of effectively suppressing cracking and the generation of black spot attendant upon the cracking and, at the same time, capable of effectively suppressing the generation of exposure memory image over a long term, and to provide an image forming apparatus provided with the electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor is provided with a photoreceptor layer which contains at least a charge generator, an electron transport agent and a binder resin, and the image forming apparatus is provided with the electrophotographic photoreceptor, wherein the solubility of electron transport agent to oleic triglyceride falls into the range of 1 to 30 wt.%, the amount of elution of the electron transport agent per unit area from the surface of the photoreceptor when the electrophotographic photoreceptor is dipped in oleic triglyceride for 20 hr falls into the range of 0.05 to 2 g/m<SP>2</SP>, and compounds expressed by formula (1) and formula (2) are included as additives. In the formula (1) and formula (2), R<SP>1</SP>to R<SP>17</SP>are respectively independent and present hydrogen atom, halogen atom, substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl groups having the number of carbons 1 to 12, or else.
