PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reflection dimming object which can be transited to a high transmissivity state of visible light applicable as a windowpane of a vehicle and a high reflectance state with wide refrection wavelength width. SOLUTION: The reflection dimming object is constituted by providing structure that a layered product 4 constituted by alternately laminating a translucent resin layer 2 which transmits the visible light and a side chain type polymer liquid crystal layer 3 is sandwiched by transparent electrodes 5 provided on both edges in its thickness direction and wherein the layered product 4 has characteristics of transiting from the high transmissivity state for transmitting the visible light to the high reflectance state with the wide reflection wavelength width by variation of a refractive index of the side chain type polymer liquid crystal layer 3 when voltage is applied to the transparent electrode 5.
