PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel bearing device with a sensor, in which a lubricant deterioration detection device is installed in a bearing in a simple and compact structure so as to detect a state of lubricant sealed in the bearing. SOLUTION: In the bearing device A for a wheel with a sensor, double rows of rolling elements 5 are interposed between opposed raceway surfaces 3, 4 of an outer member 1 and an inner member 2, so as to rotatably support a wheel with respect to a vehicle body. The bearing device is provided with a lubricant detection device 31. The lubricant detection device 31 has: a light emitting part and a light receiving part interposing lubricant in a bearing space therebetween; and a determination means acquiring a transmission amount of light of the lubricant from output of the light receiving part and detecting an amount of foreign matters mixed into the lubricant.
