摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fourth-generation-structure wheel bearing device having lightweight/compact construction with improved safety and reliability. SOLUTION: The fourth-generation-structure wheel bearing device comprises a hub ring 1 and an outside joint member 12 plastically joined to each other with diameter-enlarging caulking. Herein, irregularities 20 are formed in double-row inside rolling faces 1a, 14a at counter bores 18, 19. So, when the hub ring 1 is moved relative to the outside joint member 12 in the axial direction, rolling elements 6 roll in the condition of riding over the counter bores 18, 19 to generate abnormal vibration and noises.
