PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous completion of writing operation caused by the problem of an operation area. SOLUTION: Processes S2 and S3 are sequentially executed from first to Nth plural devices for operation areas. That is, the available capacity of each device for the operation area and the size of an image file are compared and it is checked that the available capacity is larger (step S2). The description of the device for the operation area is checked. Whether the device for the operation area is a portable type recording medium is checked in this sample (step S3). When both conditions (Y of the step S2 and Y of the step 3) of the steps S2 and S3 are satisfied, writing operation for writing data to be written in a writing available area of the optical disk is started (step S4).
