PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiving and transfer loader for a base plate, quickly achieving transfer loading operation, and preventing the base plate from being damaged. SOLUTION: In this receiving and transfer loader for a base plate 10, a receiving device 4 is disposed at the conveying downstream end of a conveyer 3 in which the plate-like base plate 10 is conveyed in the horizontal direction, and the base plate 10 conveyed by the conveyer 2 is transferred and loaded to the receiving device 4 by a transfer loader 6, which is disposed in the vicinity of the conveying downstream end of the conveyer 2. The transfer loader 6 includes a plurality of arms 12 driven in rotation in the conveying direction; and engagement parts 13 provided at the tips of the arms 12, wherein the leading end of the base plate 10 in the conveying direction is engaged with the engagement parts 13 of the transfer loader 6 and rolled by the rotary drive of the arms 12, and the tip of the base plate 10 is disengaged from the arms 12 when the arms 12 are inclined with the rotation of the arms 12 to thereby transfer and load the base plate to the receiving device 4.
