PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planting device corresponding to a sudden take out of a seedling mat while securely conveying seedling mat to downflow side. SOLUTION: The planting device is provided with seedling mat plunging members 111,111... the ends of which plunge into the seedling mat, installed on the downstream side of the seedling loading table, a horizontal axis 113 supporting the base of the seedling mat plunging members 111,111..., and a swing arm 41 on which the horizontal axis 113 is fixed and vertically swinging linked to the movement of the seedling conveyer 92. The swings of the swing arm 41 make a seedling mat holding state in which the seedling mat plunging members 111,111... plunge into the seedling mat and a seedling mat opened state in which the seedling mat plunging members 111,111... are pulled out from the seedling mat, and the swing arm 41 is energized to the seedling mat holding state, and a regulating member 80 is installed to control the seedling mat plunging members 111,111... hold the seedling mat in opened state.
