The decontamination of object (2) surface (4) by pulsed high pressure cold plasma, which is ignited in electrically inhibited discharges, comprises supplying radical produced in the plasma to the decontamination surface. A high-pressure cold discharge in the form of a pulsed corona discharge is ignited between the electrode and the contamination surface of the object.
