PROCESS FOR PRODUCING NANOPARTICLE DISPERSION, NANOPARTICLE DISPERSION, AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING NANOPARTICLE DISPERSION

A process for producing a nanoparticle dispersion by evenly dispersing nanoparticles having a particle diameter of 100 nm or smaller directly in a reactive solvent which is a precursor for the polymer. In the process, a bead mill (2) equipped with a bead separation mechanism (13) by which beads are separated is used, and ultrafine beads having a particle diameter of 1-50 µm are used as the beads. The reactive solvent is a dispersion medium containing at least one substance selected among monomers, dimmers, trimers, and oligomers. In the course of dispersion, a dispersant for bonding molecules of the dispersion medium to the nanoparticle surface is added. Using this bead mill, the surface of the nanoparticles is modified in the reactive solvent and the nanoparticles aggregated are evenly dispersed therein to a primary-particle size of 100 nm or smaller.
