OXIDE PARTICLE-CONTAINING POLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

Disclosed is an oxide particle-containing polysiloxane composition, which is obtained by mixing (A) silicon oxide particles and/or metal oxide particles and (B) a polyfunctional polysiloxane in an organic solvent in the presence of a basic compound, an acidic compound or a metal chelate compound, thereby dispersing the oxide particles (A) in the organic solvent. In this oxide particle-containing polysiloxane composition, the oxide particles are highly dispersed in the organic solvent without using phosphoric acid having an organic group with 6 or more carbon atoms, a compound having an oxyalkylene group or the like. A polysiloxane cured product obtained from such an oxide particle-containing polysiloxane composition is excellent in transparency and hardly suffers from yellowing even under high temperature conditions.
