A waterproof gasket that ensures easy handling and maintains desirable sealing capability between two members of a resin material made housing of mobile phone in contact with the waterproof gasket. There is provided a waterproof gasket to be fitted between members as constituents of electronic appliance housing, comprising a gasket main body made of a rubbery elastomer material and a surface layer resulting from treatment of the surface of the gasket main body with a reactive surface treating agent.
