<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope which detects a leak without requiring a complicated work. <P>SOLUTION: The endoscope is equipped with a temperature sensor, a humidity sensor, a humidity monitoring means for monitoring humidity inside the endoscope, an electricity storage means for supplying power to make the humidity monitoring means function, and an abnormality informing means for informing of abnormalities depending on the monitored result by the humidity monitoring means.
