<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device, reducing the time required for coupling a male shaft and a female shaft, and lowering the machining equipment cost for coupling and the tool cost. <P>SOLUTION: When an input shaft 22 is externally fitted to an inner shaft 12B, the end face at the car body rear side of an annular projection 223 of the input shaft 22 is abutted on an inclined abutting surface 1241B of the inner shaft 12B. When the input shaft 22 is further pushed in the input shaft 22 in this state, the annular projection 223 is bent along the inclination of the inclined abutting surface 1241B toward the axis of the inner shaft 12B, and pressed to the inclined locking surface 1232B of the inner shaft 12B. Accordingly, only by the machining operation of pushing the input shaft 22 into the inner shaft 12B, the annular projection 223 of the input shaft 22 bites into the inclined locking surface 1232B of the inner shaft 12B, thereby fixing the axial position of the input shaft 22 and the inner shaft 12B. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
