<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten an optimum WS setup time and to reduce a use recording area, and also to find a usable WS among target recording speeds without applying the easy reduction in recording speed. <P>SOLUTION: Test-recording of information including two or more kinds of marks to an optical disk is carried out according to a base WS; the test-recorded information is read out and a binary reproduction signal is generated according to the marks and space; it is judged whether or not this satisfies a prescribed value; the base WS is changed when the value is not satisfied; a temporary optimal WS is calculated based on the base WS when satisfied; the test-recording of the information including two or more kinds of marks to the optical disk is performed according to the temporary optimal WS; this information is read out to measure the recording quality, and when the recording quality satisfies the prescribed value, the temporary optimal WS is set up as the optimal WS. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
