<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium secondary battery improving load characteristics by smooth movement of lithium ions even when an active material layer in an electrode is made thick, preventing the breakage of the electrode, and enhancing high rate charge discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In the lithium secondary battery equipped with a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte, an electrode 1 in which an active material layer 1a containing an active material capable of inserting/releasing lithium is formed on the surface of a current collector 1b, many independent holes not passing through the current collector are formed in the active material layer, and intervals d between adjoined holes are made 3 mm or less is used in at least one of the positive electrode and the negative electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
