摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the detection accuracy of position information in an input operation in an input device such as a resistive film touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: The resistive film touch panel being an input device is provided with a front side substrate arranged at an observation side and including a coordinate input face and a back side substrate arranged opposite thereto, and is configured in such a way that when a position on the coordinate input face is depressed by input equipment, the position coordinates can be input. The front side substrate is provided with a first face-shaped electrode such as an ITO and a pair of wiring formed at the both ends of the first face-shaped electrode, and made of sliver or the like, whereas the back side substrate is not provided with any opening at a second face-shaped electrode, and configured almost in the same way as the front side substrate. In the front side substrate, an opening is formed so that the resistance of the first face-shaped electrode can be increased in the first face-shaped electrode of a valid position coordinate input area. The accuracy (linearity) of the linearity characteristics of the wiring part including the pair of wiring and of a resistor configured of the first face-shaped electrode therefore can be improved and an equipotential line is prevented from being distorted, and consequently the detection accuracy of the position depressed by the input equipment is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
