<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press-fit contact suitable for a plug-in connector, a conductor bar or the like, and having high holding pressure. <P>SOLUTION: A slot 30 is formed in the longitudinal direction 11 of a press-in pin 12. One or more projections 32a, 32b; 33a, 33b are arranged on one or more boundary surfaces 31a and 31b of the slot 30; and recessed parts 35a, 35b; 36a, 36b adjacent to the projections 32a, 32b; 33a, 33b are arranged in the circumferential direction of the press-in pin 12.
