PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece device enabling viewing of hands when being irradiated with an ultraviolet ray, and enabling viewing of information displayed on a display member without being hindered by the hands when not being irradiated with the ultraviolet ray. SOLUTION: The hands 13 operated over a display panel 9 for displaying information electro-optically are formed from a transparent ultraviolet reaction resin reacted with the ultraviolet ray and emitting a visible ray. Consequently, when the hands 13 are irradiated with the ultraviolet ray from an ultraviolet emitting element 14, the hands 13 are reacted with the ultraviolet ray to emit the visible ray, and thereby a time can be known. On the other hand, in the normal state where the ultraviolet emitting element 14 does not emit the ultraviolet ray, the hands 13 presents a transparent state, and thereby the information displayed on the display panel 9 arranged on the under side can be seen through the hands 13.
