PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dishwasher/dryer which can perform a water level detection and a soil detection by a simpler constitution. SOLUTION: The water level detection and the soul detection are performed by providing a transmittance sensor 10 having a light-emitting section 11 and a light-receiving section 12 in a storage section 13 as a level detection and soil detection means. The result of the detection is stored in a storage means, and a controlling means performs a comparison or an operation by reading the result of the detection which is stored in the storage means, and controls the starting and the completion of a water feeding, and the starting of a water drainage from the result.
