PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ESL (Electronic Shelf Label) system capable of using up batteries without leaving a large amount of residual power. SOLUTION: This ESL system displays price information related to the prices of articles on a bistable display 21. This ESL system includes first and second batteries 51 and 52 supplying a power for changing a display to the display 21, a changeover control means 26 and 50 changing over the power supply to the display 21 from the first battery 51 to the second battery 52 when the residual power of the first battery 51 becomes smaller than a prescribed threshold, and a display control means 20 setting mutually different display contents between a first state supplying the power from the first battery 51 to the display 21 and a second state supplying the power from the second battery 52 to the display 21.
