PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leg body reducing a possibility of producing a connecting error between cross rails and leg rods and having an aesthetic appearance. SOLUTION: This leg body of the furniture having leg rods at four corners of a square frame consisting of a pair of front/rear cross rails 4 and a pair of left/right side rails 5 is so formed that each leg rod is formed of a dual structure of a cover material 10 formed into a square cylinder and a core material 11 fitted in the cover material 10, the cover material 10 and the core material 11 are connected to each other by relative movement means 19 and 19 relatively pushingly moving mutually in the front/rear direction, and a connecting member 14 integrally connected to the core material 11 and facing inward in the left/right direction and the cross rail 4 are connected to each other.
