PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which generates the jackpot when the prescribed requirements are cleared instead of generating it immediately when the jackpot is earned by lottery. SOLUTION: An open/close control means operates to open or close an open/close body 22 only prescribed times within a prescribed period of time. A ball entry judgment means judges whether the prescribed number of game balls enters one jackpot winning slot 30 or not during the opening or closing operation and a jackpot generation means generates the jackpot by opening the major prize winning slot 79 when the entry of the prescribed number of game balls is judged to occur. Moreover, the angle of one opening or closing is narrowed gradually within a prescribed period of time. Thus, players can make games proceed feeling surprise and novel playing potentialities to find that the entry of the prescribed number of game balls, done relatively easier, is made harder at a certain moment in an attempt to accomplish the entry of the prescribed number of game balls for the generation of the jackpot.
