PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedal improved in visibility by making the pedal emit light by itself to overcome a disadvantage that it is hard for a walker to see because the pedal is not lighted without light applied thereto from the outside at night, although the conventional pedal is fitted with a reflector to improve the visibility to reduce the risk of a collision of a running bicycle caused by to the difficulty of being seen from others. SOLUTION: A generator and an LED are built in the pedal of the bicycle, whereby when the pedal is actuated, the generator is rotated and the LED is caused to emit light by electric power generated by the generator so that the visibility of the bicycle can be improved.
