1,074,115. Locking stays. F. T. PRODUCTS Ltd. Nov. 10, 1965 [Nov. 11. 1964], No. 45967/64. Addition to 1,000,997. Heading E2F. A locking stay of the kind described in the parent Specification has flange members secured to the ends of the pawl to constrain the pawl to normally maintain its orientation in the slots. One flange may be of a resilient synthetic plastic and the other of metal, or both flanges may be of a plastic or a metal but in each case the friction between one flange and the adjacent stay arm is greater than that between the other flange and its adjacent arm so that the pawl is constrained to remain aligned with one arm until forcibly moved by the configuration of the slots in the arms.
|
