Disclosed is a motor vehicle module comprising a support plate (10, 100, 1000) for accommodating functional units (90, 92), particularly for a motor vehicle door, a groove (30, 31, 34, 300), and a sealing string (20, 200, 201, 202, 2000) which is inserted into the groove (30, 31, 34, 300) and is used for sealing a dry space towards a wet space. Said sealing string (20, 200, 201, 202, 2000) is fastened within the groove (30, 31, 34, 300) by means of a remodeled groove edge (41, 42, 43', 320, 321) which is preferably provided with an undular shape (40).
