METHOD FOR THE IDENTIFICATION OF BOVINE MILK PROTEIN GENETIC POLYMORPHISMS

A method to determine milk protein polymorphisms in cattle based on PCR amplification of genomic regions and subsequent ligation of probes complementary to these regions, wherein the primers and probes are designed to allow the simultaneous determination of polymorphisms at different gene regions. The method and reagents allow bovine milk protein genotyping in order to improve milk quality and to increase its production.
