摘要 <p>The device has an oblong bar-shaped housing, which contains an optical gauging device with a light source and a deflector for generation of a scanning beam, which has the scanning beam between the longitudinal ends of extending outlet window of the housing and an entrance window. The entrance window is parallel to the out let window, for the scanning beam, which is reflected from a work piece (12) or support (10). Linear light receipt arrangement is arranged in housing behind the entrance window with a multiple optical sensors, whose output signals are supplied by evaluation processing unit. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a grinding machine with bearing surface work piece (2) a method for controlling the workpiece surface when grinding laminar workpieces in grinding machines.</p>
