AUTOMATICALLY ESTABLISHING A POINTING DIRECTION OF AN ANCHOR ATTACHED TO AN ANCHORLINE

A marine chaser stopper (1) which automatically establishes and maintains a desirable pointing direction of an anchor (16) towards a floating structure during laying out of the anchor. The chaser stopper is locatable on an anchor line (13) and shaped so as to provide a blocking portion to prevent the passage of a closed loop chaser over the stopper, and a leading portion so that the chaser can be led onto the stopper over the leading portion such that the relative positioning of the chaser with respect to the stopper can be used to establish a desirable pointing direction of the anchor.
