FOCUSING DEVICE AND CAMERA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly precisely perform a focusing at high speed even when vignetting is caused in luminous flux for focus detection in a TTL phase difference AF.

SOLUTION: The camera 100 is provided with the focusing device, which has: a phase difference AF sensor unit 11 and a phase difference AF detection part 12 functioning as a TTL phase difference AF mechanism; and an imager AF detection part 13 functioning as an imager AF mechanism and performs the focusing of a photographic lens 3 based on the result of focus detection by respective focus detection mechanisms. The camera is provided with: a vignetting determination part 14a for determining whether or not the vignetting is caused in the luminous flux for focus detection in the TTL phase difference AF based on lens information on the photographic lens 3 stored in a lens information storage part 6; and an AF control part for controlling the imager AF detection part 13 to perform the focus detection when determiningthat the vignetting is caused.
