<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light intensity distribution shaping device easily, with good reproducibility, and inexpensively, which performs spatial and temporal shaping of a light intensity distribution, and which is less restrained from limiting optical wavelengths for shaping compared with a conventional method. <P>SOLUTION: The light intensity distribution shaping device 1 which shapes and emits incident light 2 includes a bundle of fibers 10, and optical path lengths up to an exit plane 8 from an incident plane 6 of the optical intensity distribution shaping device 1 of the incident light 2 branched by each optical fiber 10a to 10g composing the bundle of fibers 10 are distributed in a predetermined mode corresponding to the positions in the cross sectional positions of the bundle of the optical fibers 10a to 10g each through which the branched incident light 2 propagates. Since the incident light 2 overlap each other spreading radially after branched, the spatial non-uniformity is eased, and since they overlap each other with time differences, the temporal non-uniformity is eased. The limit of optical wavelengths for shaping depends only on transmittance of the optical fibers in a target wavelength range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
