<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam machining device 1 using gaseous matter such as air as a medium for eliminating a melt, in which the melt can be eliminated without injecting air at an excessively high pressure or an excessive flow rate even if a place to which the melt adheres is remote from an air injection source. <P>SOLUTION: The laser beam machining device 1 is equipped with a shielding member 6 which is placed in the inner circumferential portion of a workpiece 3 so as to form a prescribed gap 8 between the shielding member 6 and the inner circumferential face of the workpiece 3, and which prevents air injected for eliminating the melt from flowing axially toward the other side, thereby making the injected air a high-pressure air accumulation 7 at one end of the shielding member 6. Because of this, the pressure of the air flowing toward a hole 4 can be increased, thereby enhancing the ability of eliminating the melt by air blowing through the hole 4. As a result the melt can be eliminated without injecting the air at an excessively high pressure or an excessive flow rate even if the place to which the melt adheres is remote from the air injection source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
