PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a precise machining system for extending an ability of an STS or FTS system in manufacturing a mold of an optical component. SOLUTION: This system comprises a workpiece holder holding a workpiece, a machining tool holder holding a machining tool in a form that a Z-axis is almost parallel to a centerline of the machining tool, a Z-axis parallel-advancing stage and an X-axis parallel-advancing stage connected to at least one of the workpiece holder and the machining tool holder, a workpiece spindle connected to the workpiece holder and rotating the workpiece with an axis of the workpiece parallel to the Z-axis as a center, a machining path controller electrically coupled with the X-axis parallel-advancing stage and the workpiece spindle, and a tool spindle connected to the machining tool holder. The tool spindle rotates the machining tool with the centerline of the machining tool as a center, and varies the width of a cutting face of the machining tool projecting vertically to the machining path.
