PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a battery pack system equipped with a function of detecting batteries being removed from a circuit board, in a system consisting of batteries and a circuit board connected to the batteries. SOLUTION: The battery pack system 1 consists of batteries 2a, 2b and a circuit board 25 connected to the batteries 2a, 2b, and the control method of the battery pack system is so structured that, if the batteries 2a, 2b are removed from the circuit board 25, a source voltage fall detecting circuit 14 loaded on the circuit board 25 detects a battery voltage fall state, and also detects a battery source line being cut off as thermal fuses with exothermic resistance F1, F2 are blown out to make the battery pack system 1 unusable.
