PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bristle material for an industrial brush, which is capable of uniformly removing dirt and foreign objects stuck to a cleaned object compared with the conventional synthetic resin industrial brush bristle and preventing scratches from being formed on a base; and the industrial brush using the bristle material for the industrial brush for at least one part. SOLUTION: This bristle material 1 for the industrial brush has a tapered part 2 in at least one end of a cut bristle consisting of synthetic resin monofilaments and has helical grooves 31 or a projecting streak continuously from the tip of the tapered part to the rear end of the cut bristle on the outer circumference of the cut bristle along its length direction and the industrial brush using the bristle material for the industrial brush is provided.
