PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility for a display part of a display unit for a vehicle. SOLUTION: This display unit 10 for the vehicle shows a vehicle state of the vehicle provided with operation rods 4a, 4b to carry out steering operation left and right, and total width of the display part 11 to show the vehicle state is stored within a view field between the left and right operation rods 4a, 4b as seen from a visual point of a driver. A speedometer to show vehicle speed, a tachometer to show engine speed, a fuel level gage to show fuel residual quantity, meters such as water temperature gage to show cooling water temperature, etc., a door opening state alarm lamp, alarm lamps such as a fuel residual quantity lowering alarm lamp, etc. and a display of a navigation system are stored in the display part 11.
