<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of being started well with a power loss suppressed as much as possible not only at an ambient temperature but also at a low-temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: For the fuel cell provided with a membrane electrode conjugant having an electrolyte film, a pair of catalyst layers 25 arranged at both sides of the electrolyte film, and a pair of diffusion layers 26 each in contact with the face of each catalyst layer contrary to its contact face with the electrolyte film, the diffusion layers 26 formed at least at both faces of the electrolyte film are equipped with exothermic members 41 radiating heat by absorbing moisture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
