<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface lighting device enabled to efficiently radiate from its side faces heat generated from a point light source, while utilizing a conductive pattern of a printed board as a radiating channel. <P>SOLUTION: LEDs 3 are mounted on electrode pads 16a, 16b formed on a first conductor pattern 7F at a surface 10F side of an FPC 10 in the surface lighting device. Side faces 3c to 3f of the LEDs mounted on the FPC 10 are covered with individual heat-conduction rings 11, respectively. Further, side walls 11c, 11e constituting the heat-conduction rings 11 are jointed to a second conductor pattern 7R at a rear-face 10R side of the FPC 10 through openings 14 formed on a base film 6. With this, a heat-radiating channel from the side faces 3c to 3f of the LED 3 is formed reaching a heat sink at the rear-face side of the FPC 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
