PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent information missing due to gradation correction with a simple configuration.

SOLUTION: In an image processing apparatus 1 disclosed herein, a screen processing section 13 executes gradation correction nearly equal to gradation correction to be substantially applied to an input image, and a gradation correction section 12 of the pre-stage of the screen processing section 13 executes meticulous gradation correction for complementing the gradation correction of the screen processing section 13.
