PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cartridge of which the connection terminal part installed in the liquid cartridge can be positively connected to a connector area provided at a cartridge mounting section side when the liquid cartridge is mounted in the cartridge mounting section of a liquid consumption device. SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 11 comprises a container body 111 which is detachable from a cartridge mounting section of an inkjet printer and a connection terminal part 202 which is provided on the side face of the container body 111 and can be in contact with an electrical connector area provided in a cartridge mounting section side. An insertion direction contact surface 208 abutting the cartridge mounting section is provided on one of both the side sections at the insertion direction tip side of the container body 111, and the connection terminal part 202 is provided near the insertion direction contact surface 208.
