PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stably held sensor unit and a total reflection prism. SOLUTION: This sensor unit 10 comprises the total reflection prism 20 which is a transparent dielectric and a flow path member 30 mounted on the prism 20. The prism 20 comprises a prism body 21 formed into a long trapezoidal columnar shape, a grip part 22 provided on one end of the prism body 21, and a projection part 23 provided on the other end of the prism body 21. Grooves 22a are formed in both side surfaces of the grip part 22 to substantially take T-shapes when viewed from above. The prism 20 and the sensor unit 10 using the same can be stably held by gripping the grip part 22 with fingers set in these grooves 22a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
