PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To explicitly indicate that a currently displayed video is a later video than the one actually broadcasted on a television receiver which continuously records programs on a recording medium. SOLUTION: Received television broadcast is continuously recorded on an HDD. For watching an overlooked scene by going back to the scene, a video displayed on a screen 3 is switched from television broadcast to a reproduced video of the HDD. At this time, on the screen 3 a time difference 100, between the reproduced video and the received television broadcast, is indicated. Also an icon 101 which shows the present video and an icon 102 which shows the reproduced video are displayed in combination. In reverse reproduction or still picture display, the space between the icon 101 and the icon 102 is separated from each other, and in high-speed normal reproduction, they approach each other.
